In many ways a typical green hag, driven by hatred and delighting in causing misery in others, Fern Wizard-Courser has a very special taste for fucking over wizards and takes special delight in tearing down every one she manages to get into her clutches. They are, indeed, the particular focus of her hate and she has taken pains to learn helpful magics that might help in that journey… in some cases using her more beautiful illusory selves to seduce more gullible wizards into teaching her particularly useful little tricks before thoroughly humiliating or killing them depending on her mood.
(With a few more... unusual wizards being longer-term allies and lovers).
She does have a particular standout longing for a coven and company (though always in subservient roles and not necessarily other hags). By now she might have formed that coven, but her absolute obsession with corrupting and brainwashing her ‘wizard pet’ Hazel into a willing and loyal ‘daughter’ first has put that mission on hold despite Hazel's complete resistance. Fern absolutely will not let it go. This is the one way she can get true revenge on her most hated (and long dead) enemy, and Fern will never, ever let a vengeful thought lie.
