A woman of the sea through-and-through, Canace was raised between ship and port all her childhood by her human sailor mother (the identity of her father being a mystery to all, including her mother). Even after her mother retired to coastal land Canace chose to continue this way... at first, anyways, though even once shifted to what might call a more swashbuckling, adventurous way of life it was still tied to the oceans.
At the age of 32 she has had a very colourful career coming to the rescue, delving into dungeons, assisting the unfortunate and taking on terrifying creatures and strange watery curses. Maybe, occasionally, getting hung up on a beautiful woman. Being abducted by the nautiloid would just be yet another flavour of adventure to this charming rogue.
Canace is a confident if bullheaded woman, usually smiling but with a temper that sparks fast and dies out just as quick. Usually rather restless, she's always seeking something new and interesting, a new story to live through, a new journey to make, a new act of heroics to add legend to her name. This can make her seem flighty, but truly, once dedicated to something she will always see it through. And she would love a romantic partner to share the dangerous adventure of life with as well!

MISCELLANEOUS
- Canace has fallen in love a few times, but the first romance naturally just fizzled out fast and the second was unrequited. She's also had several shorter flings, but would dearly love to get a partner that either matches of energy or enjoys being around it.
- Has a reputation already built up before BG3 happens, though mostly in port towns and on islands, for both her heroics and occasional mishap. Not every adventure goes so smoothly, you know? The getting drunk, falling off the docks and nearly drowning that one time doesn't count. Probably.
- ...maybe related to above, two of her most precious possessions are her Hat of Water Breathing and Ring of Water Walking. Guess what they do?
- A mild worshipper of Tymora, which probably isn't surprising.
