A muscular and heavily scarred elf with a burning urge to perfect his craft and create 'true beauty' in his metalwork. Koriat is genuinely eager for his creations to make the world a better place even on a small scale, and is deeply interested in people but not always good at understanding the unwritten rules of formal situations. Better when it comes to practical matters and quick to offer guidance and direction where he sees fit, he is also notorious for having a rather cheeky sense of humour and excellent tolerance for alcohol, as well as being one of the most chilled-out and difficult to fluster people you'll ever meet.
Art really is very important to him, and when it comes to such things his gentler side seeps out, but that's also the only obvious part of himself he seems insecure and uncertain of himself in. This insecurity is what brought him to Baldur's Gate many decades ago and into the care of his now former master but eternal friend, a dwarven finesmith named Brummyr. Now well established as a forge cleric, metalsmith and dabbling artificer within the Gondians of the City and feeling perhaps excessively confident, a dash of complacency leads him to miss something critical going on within the people he is supposed to watch over, and as chaos sets upon the Gate he is left fighting to fix his mistake.

- RING THE DEAD: 708 word character piece for Koriat, set during the post-game of BG3.
MISCELLANEOUS
- Is well known in Sharess' Caress, and is frequently commissioned by them as well as having many friends within their number. This once included Ffion, 'the Librarian,' and her death impacts him quite considerably when it's discovered.
- Has been married once before to a human man and fellow smith named Robertus. They had many decades together before Rob passed away of old age. Koriat keeps Robertus's ring on a chain, alongside countless other rings, all made by himself and each one representing someone he has loved. This includes platonic, familial and romantic bonds; anyone for whom he has cared. Robertus's wedding ring remains the only wedding ring on the chain, though this may not be the case forever. - Leaves Baldur's Gate for two months out of every twelve, thereabouts, in order to fulfill his obligations as a cleric of Gond and wander to catalogue and encourage invention. This means he has a web of contacts within quite a large radius of the city.
