EMIL
BASICS & SUMMARY
FULL NAME: Emil Hothemer | CLASS: Bard (College of Valor) | RACE: Human |
BACKGROUND: Waterdhavian Noble | HEIGHT: 5'6" | AGE: 26 |
The fourth son of a noble trading family from Waterdeep, Emil was born without much expectation placed upon his head. Despite this he was given a good education and upon discovering a talent for music when very young was enrolled into bard training, specifically the 'college of valor,' something he was encouraged to do to honour his family and 'help pass on the tales of Waterdeep and the family.' Emil was soon left restless, however, and desired something new, so gently pushed himself into his family business more and more, even in very minor roles.
Upon finding his feet and after getting a sense of what he wanted from life, Emil sprang something unexpected upon his parents. His bright, whimiscal personality made him easy to like, endearing him to potential trading partners, and best of all, it turned out he possessed an almost startling and occasionally scary talent for bartering and getting the very best kind of deals. In the face of this his family could do naught but given him greater roles within their business, and soon, Emil would find himself frequently travelling along their routes and getting to see the world... which is what he'd truly wanted.
Some years later this would lead him to arriving in Baldur's Gate right before the Absolute crisis struck, and leave him amongst those struggling against a threat way greater than they could possibly understand.
